Anthony Vigar is rejoining Azzurri after two and a half years as sector head of UK strategic accounts at Vodafone
O2 centre of excellence partner Azzurri Communications has appointed former Vodafone head Anthony Vigar as head of business development.
Vigar joins Azzurri after two and a half years as sector head of UK strategic accounts at Vodafone. He was responsible for ensuring performance targets such as annual service revenues and new revenue sales were met.
The move represents a return to the company, as between November 2004 and July 2011 Vigar filled several positions at Azzurri, including regional sales director (2004-2009), director of ICT (2009-2010) and head of specialist solutions (2010-2011).
Under his new role he will be responsible for growing Azzurri’s communications customer base and will oversee the introduction of new cloud and managed services products.
Sales director Craig Wellman said: “The telephony and UCC marketplace is increasingly moving towards hosted and cloud solutions as the most convenient option for delivering communications services. We needed someone who understood the enterprise communications landscape implicitly to help us drive our growth in these key areas.”
