Broadband provider Voneus has appointed former Virgin Media director Ed Dannan as its new chief financial officer.
The broadband provider, which focuses specifically on serving rural areas has appointed Dannan to help drive its gigabit rollout.
Dannan, who played a key role in the integration planning prior to the £31bn Virgin Media and O2 merger, boasts more than a decade in the telecoms sector.
Prior to this Dannan has held senior roles at T-Mobile and EE, where he was during the merger of the T-Mobile and Orange networks.
“Having previously supported the delivery of previous generations of digital infrastructure to the UK, I believe Voneus is in a perfect position to usher in a new era of rural connectivity,” said Dannan.
“Rural communities have been neglected for far too long by the traditional providers, and I’m delighted to be in a position to drive Voneus’ mission to change the status quo.”
