Foundation will send equipment and volunteers on request
Vodafone is immediately sending around £75,000 for earthquake relief in Turkey. The Vodafone Group Foundation has made an immediate payment of £50,000 and a further £25,000 will match employee donations.
Vodafone Foundation says it will make instant network equipment available on request if it is required. These are transportable base stations that can be deployed quickly in a disaster area.
Efforts are being coordinated by Vodafone Turkey and the Vodafone Turkey Foundation. of a part of a network of 27 local foundations affiliated with the Vodafone Group Foundation committed to supporting the social and economic development of the countries in which Vodafone operates. It has been working to lead social development and change since the establishment of the foundation in 2007.
