His departure is part of a restructure which will see head of broadband John James also leave, and their jobs rolled into one

Virgin Media is restructuring its executive team in recognition of increased convergence between the mobile, broadband and entertainment segments.

Graham Oxby, executive director of home phone and mobile, and John James, executive director of broadband, are leaving the company.

News of their departure comes a few months after Virgin announced its executive director of digital entertainment, Cindy Rose, had left the company.

The three roles will now be merged into one, to be filled by Virgin Media’s current executive director of delivery and support, Aarne Aho. His new job title will be executive director of products, propositions and segments.

Separately, chief marketing officer Jeff Dodds will also leave the company in early 2014.

Virgin Media’s chief operations officer Dana Strong said: “Jon, Graeme and Jeff have been instrumental in Virgin Media’s success to date, developing and transforming our services and I can’t thank them enough for their vast contribution.

“As consumers increasingly look for combined entertainment and communications bundles, we’re building a structure that will allow us to harness the combined strength of our services under a unified product strategy. Virgin Media has always led the market in innovation and it’s by focusing on the collective power of our products that will help us to continue to disrupt, innovate and grow.”
