Tech Data claims Accelerate service can drive partner sales

The new service offers partners tools to create marketing emails and e-commerce sites

Tech Data claims it can help drive the sales of its SMB partners through its new Accelerate site, which offers marketing and e-commerce support.

The distributor created the microsite, which is online now, following customer feedback. It includes a ‘marketing portal’ which allows partners to produce customer emails from a range of templates. Each template includes text about product announcements and pricing promotions. Personalised messages and contact details can also be added.

Partners can also access a data feed. This can be placed on their site to display details and pricing of Tech Data products. An alternative £395 annual payment will allow resellers to have their own e-commerce site, with Tech Data despatching orders in the partner’s name. A more expensive £995 option lets customers create a more detailed and customisable online web store.

Tech Data director of SMB Cathi Low said: “We have listened to our customers and developed these resources to meet their needs. We see the Marketing Portal as an important tool for resellers who are unable to generate their own marketing materials and we believe a great many resellers will be able to use it on a regular basis.

“The Accelerate pages provide them with easy access to these and the other resources we make available to help SMB resellers develop and grow their sales.”
