Enreach making UK play to bolster dreams of being best in Europe

Telford-based dealer Network Telecom has been acquired by rapidly growing European UC group Enreach.

Network Telecom is the first UK acquisition for Enreach, whose companies include Voiceworks, Swyx, and Centile. It operates in Germany, the Netherlands and France.

Network will remain based in Telford. It offers business telephony, conference phones, hosted voice solutions, line rental, broadband and business mobility to approximately 2,000 small businesses across the UK.

Founder and managing director Paul Maxfield will remain in his role alongside his management team. Commenting on the acquisition, he said: “Over the past few years, we have worked hard on a new direction to provide our growing customer base with a complete portfolio of secure communication and innovative IT solutions.

“The acquisition of Network Telecom by Enreach is a strategic and well-considered decision that will not only help facilitate our customers growth, but also the growth of the entire group.”

At the Centile Customer Summit in Cannes, France this week, Enreach CEO Stijn Nijhuis stated that the acquisition was vital to Enreach’s plans of becoming Europe’s leading Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider.

“We see the opportunity to become the European UCaaS champion, and we cannot be the European UCaaS champion without a significant presence in the UK market,” he said.

“Besides our long history of successful UK Swyx business and some good performing Centile business, the acquisition of Network Telecom is our first significant step into the UK market,” he added.

“The acquisition will extend our UK ecosystem, local expertise and resources, which will benefit our partners. Network Telecom currently delivers its business through the direct channel and the goal will be to create joint proposals for Enreach’s channel business and partners based on both feedback from Network Telecom and our current UK partners.”
