Hough joins from Manchester Airport Group (MAG-O)
UKFast has announced the appointment of a new chief marketing officer (CMO) as the cloud firm looks to capitalise on last year’s investment deal.
Manchester-based cloud hosting firm UKFast has appointed Nolan Hough (pictured on the right) as its new CMO, with Hough joining from Manchester Airport Group technology division (MAG-O), where he spent 10 years and served as MD for the past two.
UKFast ended last year by finalising an investment deal with Inflexion Private Equity which took the companies valuation to £405 million, with Hough – also formerly of Sennheiser – becoming the first appointment to the board since the investment took place.
During his tenure at MAG-O Hough led a team of 175 people, growing this number from just four colleagues in three years.
Hough’s role at UKFast will see him lead an in-house team of marketeers, event managers, designers, video producers and communication specialists, while trying to build new development teams to drive innovation.
Hough said he is excited at the opportunity to work for UKFast and with its CEO Lawrence Jones.
Lawrence Jones added: “Nolan adds an interesting dynamic to the board and brings with him a wealth of experience. He understands the technical aspects of marketing and has a very successful track record.
“Couple that with his passion for creativity and I’ve ever confidence he’s going to make a huge difference.”
