Carphone Warehouse-owned MVNO will allow customers to carry left over data to the following month in “UK’s first” free rollover offer

Carphone Warehouse MVNO iD Mobile has launched a new data rollover scheme that will allow customers to carry unused data over to the following month.

The Data Rollover will be free to all new and existing customers on one of iD’s 12 or 24 month GoTo plans, or one of its monthly SIM-only plans. It will be added to all eligible customer’s plans automatically from their next billing date.

The network, which launched last year and runs on Three’s infrastructure, claims to be the first to offer a free-to-use data rollover service in the UK. During it’s last financial results last month, Dixons Carphone there are more than 200,000 customers using iD.

iD general manager Adam Dunlop said: “We’ve listened to our customers who have told us they want more control over the data they use, so we’re giving them the flexibility to use data they might not use in any given month at no extra charge.

“Data is one of the key considerations when choosing the right plan to suit your lifestyle, and we know data usage can vary from month to month, and can often result in higher monthly charges. This is why we’ve introduced Data Rollover, to give our customers more control over their plans and better value for money.”
