iD Mobile has also announced a 52-week partnership with the KISS Breakfast Show
iD Mobile has reached one million postpaid customers as the MVNO has set its sights on further growth.
North Acton-based iD Mobile hit the milestone in April, adding around 200,000 connections since May of last year.
iD Mobile launched in May 2015 and operates under the umbrella of Dixons Carphone and runs on the Three network, with the MVNO initially created to address the pain points of customer frustrations..
Managing Director Adam Dunlop (pictured) says that the MVNO has been “bold to take risks” such as being the first UK operator to provide free data rollover and offering 30 day SIM only contracts.
“We’re absolutely delighted about hitting the million milestone within four years of starting up, with our proposition being around data and flexibility for customers,” says Dunlop.
Having a strong retail presence has also contributed to this target being reached, added Dunlop.
“Carphone Warehouse and Curry’s PC World have both been brilliantly supportive in providing access for iD Mobile in the retail channel and a huge factor in us achieving this landmark.”
KISS Breakfast sponsorship
iD Mobile has also announced a year-long sponsorship with the KISS Breakfast show and aims to continue a strong focus on the “young independent” segment of the market, which is the 18 to 34 year-olds demographic.
The partnership is the MVNO’s biggest since its launch and Dunlop hopes it can drive further growth.
“We’ve decided to do the partnership with KISS as this has a strong reach to our target demographic and we expect it to drive awareness and strong consideration.”
iD Mobile head of customer and marketing Lewis Henry added: “This will be our biggest partnership since we launched in 2015, so it was important for us to partner with a brand that not only resonated with our target audience but also had synergies with our brand personality.”
