Ericsson’s Germany managing director Daniel Leimbach has also taken the role of Head of the Customer Unit Western Europe for customers in Germany, the Netherlands & Switzerland.
The three countries have 3.300 Ericsson employees supporting key customers Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Telefónica, Swisscom, KPN and T-Mobile Netherlands.
His task will be to turn Ericsson innovations into pioneer projects and implement sustainable mobile broadband solutions and 5G in Industry as well as new consumer services.
“We are taking an active approach to ‘breaking the energy curve’, which means to be more efficient with new generations of telecom infrastructure to reduce energy consumption and, with that, pioneer a more sustainable future,” he said.
Leimbach (42) has been with Ericsson for more than 15 years. After starting as a Key Account Manager in 2007, he became a Vice President in 2011 with responsibility for Telefónica Germany and Vodafone Germany. He also worked for Ericsson in Asia.
Before joining Ericsson, he worked at Alcatel-Lucent.
