Doro has launched its latest senior smartphone the Doro 8050, with the device available from £200.
The senior-handset specialists has confirmed the phone is available from Amazon, the Doro website and through a number of pay monthly and pay as you go plans through EE.
The Doro 8050 runs Android OS alongside its own EVA interface, which enables easy-to-read display and text, plus loud and clear sound.
There is also a GPS-enabled assistance button, and it comes equipped with a 13MP camera.
It is one of the first Doro handsets that is compatible with Doro’s ‘Imminent Response’ offering, which is a service that connects seniors with family, friends and support networks.
Commenting on the new phone, Doro UK and Ireland managing director Peter Marsden said: “Our smartphone users require intuitive technology that combines easy-to-use features with high quality performance.
“The latest Doro 8050 smartphone gives our customers this very combination, along with peace of mind for themselves, their friends and relatives.”
Doro also revealed that ‘My Doro Manager’ will soon be introduced into the Response by Doro app, for download from the App Store and PlayStore as a way to give relatives remote access to the device. The device will be able to be accessed from either an iOS or Android smartphone.
