Cradlepoint has experience with US and UK police, fire and rescue and healthcare services which helped the company develop industry-leading solutions for fixed and mobile first responder applications

Cradlepoint has announced its R1900 LTE and 5G router has been certified for the Emergency Services Network (ESN) to use for mission critical communications.

The company specialises in cloud-delivered 5G and LTE wireless network solutions and its R1900 router is enabled with NetCloud Service and dual SIM card connectivity, providing connectivity in areas where ESN may not be available, but carrier connectivity is.

The ESN will replace the current emergency services communication network in the UK, and is forecast to serve 300,000 front-line emergency service users and connect up to 45,000 vehicles.

Cradlepoint is only the second provider to gain accreditation on the network, and its Netcloud Service with Cellular Intelligence enables IT teams to remotely manage routers, networks, and cellular data usage.

Emergency services are able to reduce management costs and provide workers with critical information they need to do their jobs and protect people.

Cradlepoint account director public sector Mark Page said: “From increased insight on live emergencies to connecting mobile command centres at large events such as festivals and sports matches, cellular connectivity ensures our front-line workers have the information they need to get the job done.

“By achieving the highest level of certification available on the ESN, combined with the straightforward deployment and management of our routers, we can now ensure that these vital workers have access to the most crucial information and insights to do their jobs, no matter where they are in the country.”
