It will go on sale at Apple Stores, select Nike retail stores and online. The 38mm model is priced at £369, with the larger 42mm at £399.

There will be four Nike Sport Band colour combinations available: Black/Volt, Black/Cool Grey, Flat Silver/White and Flat Silver/Volt.

It will be available at launch in 41 countries, including Australia, France, Germany, Ireland and the US. Six others (Bahrain, Greece, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE) will wearable release the following day on October 29.

The Apple Watch Nike+ features built in GPS to track pace, distance and route for running. It’s also water-resistant up to 50 metres for swimming, and comes pre-loaded with the revamped Nike+ Run Club app.

The app is “seamlessly integrated” offering smart run reminders, challenges and weather alerts. Unique sport bands and clock faces will also come with the fitness wearable.

Nike president Trevor Edwards said: “Apple Watch Nike+ with Nike+ Run Club app combine to deliver a powerful device with a simple running solution for all athletes and is another example of Nike’s commitment to bringing innovative products to the market.”
