Father of two died on Easter Sunday days after attack at party organised by BlackBerry
A Research In Motion employee has died after being stabbed in the neck last Tuesday (April 3) at a party organised to celebrate Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Messenger service.
Father of two Phillip Sherriff, 37, died on Easter Sunday, four days after being rushed to the Royal London hospital with severe injuries sustained at the event at the Pulse nightclub in Southwark (pictured).
The party, which featured a performance by singer Jessie J, was attended by around 700 people including journalists, BlackBerry competition winners and celebrities.
A BlackBerry spokesperson said: “We are deeply saddened to hear our colleague has died as a result of the attack.
“Our thoughts are with his family and those close to him.”
