Shebang in Viking fulfilment deal

Shebang Distribution is understood to have secured a deal to provide handsets and accessories to Viking Direct customers, a fulfilment contract long pursued by UK distributors

Distributor Shebang has agreed a deal with office supplier Viking Direct to distribute its mobile handsets, accessories, prepay and contract sales, Mobile News understands

Viking, an Office Depot company, claims to be one of the world’s biggest suppliers of office equipment to SME businesses, selling to members through its monthly catalogue and website. It employs 1,300 people in the UK and has a presence in 16 different countries.

A source said: “This is a huge deal for Shebang. Distributors have tried to partner with Viking before but have failed. It is the market leader for office supply to SME businesses in the UK. It’s a good win for Shebang.”

It is understood the deal is constructed on a rolling year-long contract.
