Woolies starts recycle scheme

Unwanted phones are either refurbished and sold abroad or recycled. Payment for each handset depends on make, model and condition. Ten per cent of the payment will be donated to Woolworths Kids First, a charity enabling Woolworths’ staff to support community-based projects of their choice.

Woolworths Kids First manager Jodi Saul said: “This will encourage people to clear out drawers and cupboards where old mobile handsets may be hiding.”
