Virgin launches £5 mobile broadband

Virgin Media has launched a £5 mobile broadband package for customers subsrcibing to its bundled cable/fixed line broadband services.

The £5 deal, which allows 1GB mobile broadband data per month on a 12-month contract, is available on top of Virgin Media’s XL or L cable broadband packages, which allow broadband data speeds of 20Mbps and 10Mbps respectively.

It is also available at £5 to customers subscribing to its fixed-line broadband package, ADSL ‘Bundle 1’, which claims data speeds of 8Mbps, unlimited data usage and unlimited landline calls.

The 1GB mobile broadband service is available at £10 per month for customers on its 2Mbps M cable broadband package or its ADSL ‘Bundle 2’ broadband service, which offers 8Mbps speeds, unlimited usage, and evening/weekend calls.

The Virgin Media 1GB USB mobile broadband modem has a one-off cost of £25.
