Times article slammed by BT

The article said trading figures showed the number of BT mobile customers was 86,000, the lowest since quarterly key performance figures began in 2004-05.

However BT Group chief of mobility and convergence Steve Andrews said this was misleading, as it only represented consumer connections. He said: “We have around 440,000 total connections. Our growth from the previous year was 22 per cent.”

BT will revamp its ‘Fusion’ consumer proposition in the coming months, with a series of new packages which will include data.
