Tesco Mobile unveils new prepay tariff

The free texts and minutes are in addition to the credit customers will receive from their top-up, but can only be used to call mobile or landline numbers in the UK.

The Standard Plus tariff also offers half-price calls to three favourite numbers and the SIM card is free if customers register on the Tesco Mobile website. SIM cards are also available in Tesco stores for £4.97.

Tesco Mobile CEO Andy Dewhurst said: “We want to offer our prepay customers similar bonus airtime or text benefits to those enjoyed by contract customers.”
