Phones 4U appoints new MD

Sweeney previously Phones 4U group commercial director, has been appointed managing director of ‘Phones 4U Distribution’ and takes charge of its retail, telesales and online businesses.

Phones 4U marketing director Jim Slater said: “The role will see Brendan take on some of what Tim Whiting was doing.”

Whiting said: “The new role gives additional focus across all our UK distribution businesses.”
Phones 4U will announce Sweeney’s replacement as commercial director soon.
