Perron to head up Sony Ericsson UK and Ire from September 1

New managing director, replacing the outgoing Nathan Vautier, begins new role tomorrow

Pierre Perron, Sony Ericsson’s new managing director for the UK and Ireland, will begin his role at the handset manufacturer tomorrow (September 1).

He replaces Nathan Vautier, who is set to leave the handset manufacturer after two-and-a-half years in charge of the company’s UK and Ireland operations.

Perron joined Sony Ericsson in October 2001 as general manager of France, before adding operations in Belgium and Luxembourg to his responsibilities. In April of this year he became general manager of Sony Ericsson’s operations in North Latin America, Central America and the Caribbean.
