Nokia signs gaming deal with Vivendi

The deal initially involves just games, to be available via Nokia’s ‘Download!’ menu, but will later expand to wallpapers and ringtones.

It follows Nokia’s agreement to offer Vivendi mobile games via the N-Gage programme.

Vivendi Games Mobile president Paul Maglione said: “The challenge in the mobile games value chain is not only to make great games and attract customers, but also in the effective merchandising of games and the ease with which consumers can access them.

“The end result of this partnership is a new and promising distribution channel that creates further ‘impulse buy’ opportunities and allows customers to enjoy the best mobile games on demand.”
