New MVNO goes for migrant market

The Nomi-mobile prepay SIM, which launched last week with an undisclosed network partner, is offering international calls starting at 4p per minute. Customers can also make landline calls UK mobiles from their Nomi-mobile accounts for 1.9p per minute.

Nomi-mobile chief executive Stuart Eve said: “Access to cheap international phone calls is a vital service for the UK’s migrant worker population, currently estimated at over three million people.”
