Mitchinson gets Samsung MP3 unit

Samsung is restructuring its UK and Ireland businesses, with Samsung UK and Ireland vice president for mobile Mark Mitchinson (pictured) likely to be handed a broader remit for the Korean manufacturer.

Mitchinson has already assumed control of its MP3/MP4 music/video player division.

Mitchinson told Mobile News: “The MP3/MP4 business is now my responsibility and I expect other IT related product groups to come under my wing this year. This brings a wealth of opportunity for our channel partners and capitalises on the amazing success we have had in 2009 with PC sales.”
