BlackBerry Facebookers hit 1m
RIM has revealed more than one million customers worldwide have downloaded the BlackBerry Facebook application to its smartphones.
The BlackBerry Facebook software allows subscribers to send and receive information direct from their mobile.
A RIM spokesperson said: “Of our 14 million active customers worldwide, a million have downloaded Facebook.”
RIM corporate marketing vice president Mark Guibert said: “We believed consumers would recognise the value of marrying social networking with mobility and that has now been validated.”
Facebook has 64 million active subscribers, with an estimated 14 million photos updated every day.
