B2B MVNO in Unicom pipeline

Fixed line B2B wholesaler Unicom is looking to enter the mobile market with a B2B MVNO.

Mobile News understands it is looking at opportunities with Orange and 3.

“Network attitudes have changed a lot since last year,” said Unicom operations director Chris Earle.

“We have talked with all the major networks, and had some positive conversations.”

A recent questionnaire sent to its fixed-line customers asked if they would consider switching from their current mobile provider to Orange or 3. More than half said they would, claimed Unicom.

Earle said Unicom is considering a straight reseller deal with Orange distributor Mainline too, and that it would look to connect via just one network.
