Asda staff get Alcatel bargain

The internal offer, which was made available to 140,000 Asda employees, saw the budget mobiles snapped up within a week.

Asda head of mobile Ted Cadogan said: “It gives our colleagues a better understanding of the product and will install confidence in them when they attempt to sell the phone to a customer.

“If a customer gets a sense of what our colleagues are talking about, then they will be more persuaded to go through with a purchase.”
