3 brings forward Q club bonuses

3 has confirmed it is to issue ‘Q’ club bonuses to relevant dealers instantly instead of at month four in a customer’s contract.

Typically a 3 Q club member, a part of 3’s elite band of dealer partners, receives the bonus as a reward for signing quality business. Now, this £25 bonus, reduced earlier this year from £40, will be given from the first day of connection.

3 said it had taken the step as it was confident of the business Q Club dealers were bringing in.

But a distribution source said: "There’s an upside to this if it’s used well with the right people.

"But we have to be careful with some less scrupulous dealers who might take a short term view on it – and then we get clawed back. We will be communicating this to dealers in the context of duty of care around mis-selling."
