The deal will last for five-years and provides Truphone customers with EE’s mobile network
Truphone has struck a long-term partnership agreement with BT Wholesale in a move that covers MVNO access services.
The five-year agreement will provide Truphone customers access to EE’s mobile network, with the network covering 86 per cent of the UK landmass with its 4G service.
EE is also aiming to cover the whole of the UK with its 5G coverage by 2028.
Truphone CEO Ralph Stevens (pictured) said: “We’re incredibly excited to partner with BT Wholesale, the clear market leader in the UK, on this important relationship in one of our core mobile markets.
“We are really looking forward to all the opportunities this partnership will afford us.”
BT Wholesale managing director Alex Tempest added: “Alongside Truphone’s success in Enterprise mobile, we have been particularly impressed with Truphone’s capability and ambitions in IoT.
“Customers have an ever-increasing focus on network experience and we’re proud that Truphone has recognised the value of our network and our ongoing investment as we continue with plans to provide 5G everywhere in the UK by 2028.”
