It comes after Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich was hit with UK sanctions
Three UK has confirmed its currently reviewing its shirt sponsorship deal with Chelsea FC.
It comes as the Premier League club’s owner Roman Abramovich has seen his UK assets frozen in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Abramovich has been trying to sell Chelsea since last week, but any sale is now on hold after the UK government has sanctioned him.
In a statement, a Three spokesperson said: “We are in discussions with Chelsea and we are reviewing our position.”
Three signed a three-year shirt sponsorship deal with Chelsea back in 2020, with the MNO’s branding appearing on the club’s shirts since the 2020/21 season.
