Lefever spent time at Vodafone, Cellnet, Motorola, Three and Brightstar, among others
Telecoms veteran Nick Lefever has died at the age of 55.
Lefever’s career in telecoms spanned more than 30 years, at companies including Vodafone, Three, O2 and Brightstar.
Most recently, he was global supply chain director at device protection company Reconnects (now bolttech). He retired in December last year.
Having begun his career in engineering and repairs for Micro Peripherals and then Motorola, Lefever moved into operations management and logistics, before establishing himself as a supply chain expert.
Roles he held included: head of logistics at Vodafone, supply chain logistics director for Three, head of business operations at O2, transformation director of procurement and supply chain for Telefónica Europe, and EMEA supply chain and operations director at Brightstar.
Outside of telecoms, Lefever also worked in logistics for Santa Fe Relocation Services and DHL. He also served as a parish councillor.
Friend and former Reconnects colleague Simon Teague wrote in tribute: “Nick was a great friend, colleague and mentor of mine who was a highly regarded and long-standing servant of the mobile telecoms sector.”
