The distributor will be doubling the headcount in its Security Business Practice team and a Centre of Excellence set up in Warrington
Tech Data has revealed has achieved ‘double digit growth’ in its security business.
As a result, the distributor will be investing in the sector by creating a Centre of Excellence and doubling the headcount of the team behind the sector, taking the total investment over the past year into the millions.
The recruitment process is set to last six months with the distributer adding personnel in professional services, account management, business development and marketing and operations to add to the Security Business Practice team.
In particular, Tech Data have seen a rise in popularity in vendors such as Cisco, Symantec, McAfee and IBM.
Tech Data Advanced Solutions UK and Ireland managing director Rob Tomlin said: “We’ve seen amazing growth in our security business.
“Organically, we have doubled over the past two years and we’ve seen a significant acceleration over the last 12 months. These achievements demonstrate that that our strategic and scalable approach is working.
