The SIM card retailer now has standalone stores in Athens, Brussels and Heathrow
Sim Local has announced the opening of two stores in Athens International Airport (AIA), Greece.
The stores are located in the landside arrivals area and the baggage reclaim hall, and both stores have been custom built for the space at the airport.
Customers can get SIM cards from Vodafone and Tazamobile as well as a range of accessories from different suppliers.
In addition to its standalone stores, Sim Local operates a network of vending machines across airports in Europe and partners such as WHSmith and InMotion in global airports.
Sim Local chief trading officer Ian Rankin said: “We are already seeing strong sales as intercontinental travel continues to bounce back following the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our partnership with AIA is testament to our ambitious growth plans, and we are already exploring additional opportunities to expand our reach into more European airports over the coming months.”
