Vodafone and EE are the first operators to range the device
Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S10 5G device will be available for pre-order on May 22 ahead of going on sale on June 7.
It will be available from Samsung Experience stores, EE and Vodafone. The two operators are rolling out their 5G connectivity across a range of British cities this year.
It is the largest S series phone, with dimensions of 162.6mm x 77.1mm x 7.9mm.
The S10’s 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display is the largest of the S series, and it also features a 3D depth camera on both sides of the phone that features live focus and quick measure functionality, allowing customers to measure distance, area or volume of objects or space in the camera’s view.
Its 4,500mAh battery is the largest in the S range and it uses super-fast 25W wired charging. It has 8GB RAM and comes with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
Colours announced thus far are majestic black and crown silver.
Vodafone will switch on 5G in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and London on July 3, with Birkenhead, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Guildford, Newbury, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington and Wolverhampton to follow later this year.
EE will launch 5G initially in busy parts of London, Manchester, Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh, before adding it to Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, LEeds, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry and Bristol.
Samsung Electronics director of innovation, technology and services Kate Beaumont said: “The Galaxy S10 5G unlocks an entirely new mobile experience to prepare consumers for a world of possibilities: a larger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display; a new 3D Depth Camera with Live focus video; and the biggest battery available in the Galaxy S range, the Galaxy S10 5G is a visionary, ultra-premium device for those looking to stay ahead of the curve.”
