Independent group of 11 O2 Centre of Excellence partners choose duo as handsets and accessories supply partners

The Partner Council has selected Exertis Micro-P and Data Select as its ‘preferred partners’ for the supply of mobile handsets and accessories.

The group, which is entirely independent and not an O2 body, was created in November 2012 by 11 of O2’s Centre of Excellence partners – which manage more than 300,000 connections between them.

The council meet every six weeks to share best practice across all areas of running their business.

Partners
Members include Brit Megahey of Barclay Communications, Paul Hooper of Uplands, Paul Davis of Aerial Business Communications, James Wright of Vivio, Chris Stanton of Welcomm Communications, Matt Sandford of Pure Telecom, Adrian Spreadborough  of ADSI, Ian Gillespie of Activ Telecom, Dave Brown of Curveball Solutions, Wayne Skellon of Challenger Mobile and Stuart McAlpine of Annodata.

Skellon said: “We made the decision to work closer with Data Select and Exertis Micro-P as they both demonstrated a strong case for not just the supply of handsets but also other value added services and support This is in addition to our existing hardware arrangement with O2.

“We wanted to look at how we could eliminate the duplication of certain things we all do within our own businesses. Couple this with the fact that between us we have a mobile base of over 300,000 subscribers means that jointly we have stronger buying power.”
