Orange Broadband customers will receive operator’s Bright Box wireless router free of charge from today which increases signal strength and speed

Orange has begun supplying its new home broadband customers with its Bright Box wireless routers free of charge from today.

The router which normally costs £95 provides customers with a wireless signal range of 250 metres according to Orange.

It has two built in antennas which use Bright Box’s ‘N’ technology to avoid interference from other household electric devices that can affect connection.

The router is small enough to be posted through a household letterbox and provides WPA2 encryption technology and multiple SSID wireless network names with seperate passwords in order to share an internet connection securely.

Orange Broadband director of marketing and propositions Sylvain Thevenot (pictured) said: “We’re constantly looking to evolve our home broadband offering to ensure our customers enjoy the best possible experience across multiple devices in the home.

“With this in mind, we’re pleased to be introducing the Bright Box, our most powerful wireless router to date.”
