Neos Networks appoints former BT-man as chair of board

Passingham joins as Neos Networks looks to expand the rollout of its connectivity services 

Business connectivity provider Neos Networks has appointed former BT-man Tim Passingham as chair of board of directors.

Passingham joins the board today (July 5) and will provide direction to the board as the company seeks the expansion of its delivery of high capacity connectivity services.

He boasts vast industry experience, and has held leadership positions at BT, Colt Technology Services and Level 3 Communications (now Lumen).

Neos offers a range of services including business internet services, cloud, dark fibre, WAN (wide area network) and more.

“Tim brings a breadth of industry expertise and insight that will provide invaluable direction to the business,” said Neos Networks CEO Colin Sempill.

“Following a year that saw us invest heavily in network growth and expansion, Tim will help drive company momentum forward as we support the UK Government’s levelling up plans to meet its ambitions for a Gigabit Britain.”

On his appointment, Passingham said: “The UK’s fibre rollout is in full swing, and Neos Networks is playing a critical role in delivering the UK’s digital infrastructure.”

Passingham is also chairman of Cambridge Management Consulting and IoT firm Iknaia.

Additionally he’s the co-founder and non-executive director of edenseven, is a non-executive director of The Carrier Club and also Lightning Fibre.
