The Mobile News Awards shortlist is here. A panel of 11 independent industry experts judged nearly 100 entries across 23 categories at the London Hilton on Park Lane on February 18.
The judges were: Ben Robinson, (technologist, iusemobile.com) David Hinc (MD Appsmaker Store), Nick Birtwistle, (founder, Channelguru) Janice Jenner (marketing brand consultant), Marta Pinto (research manager mobile devices ,IDC EMEA), Martyn Gould (Right Signal), Nick Sacke, (head of IoT and Products at Comms365), Rebecca Bromwich (TransUnion Information Group), Tony Miller (head of mobile services, HighNet Telecoms), Tony Jeffery (Lakedale Consulting), and Vijay Kumar Anand (marketing director at PMYB Influencer).
Said Nick Birtwistle: “It was nice to see, in some categories, a lot of entrants reflecting the desire to win an award and the levels they went to to innovate their proposition The winners not only excel in their field but also view balancing their product or service with people and sustainability initiatives Well done to everyone who entered.”
Said Ben Robinson: “Judging the Mobile News Awards 2020 felt like a great opportunity to take the pulse of an Industry that I’ve been in or close to for more than 20 years now! The breadth and depth offered by the entries was impressive, and shows a continued focus on both innovation, and also evolving the proposition for the consumer.”
Martyn Gould added: “We spent a full day carefully reading entries, most of which had been put together comprehensively and with a huge amount of passion. I really enjoyed the experience.”
The winners will be presented with their trophies at a black-tie awards ceremony at The London Hilton on Park Lane on March 12 from the shortlist below:
