Waldon Telecom will remain a standalone brand despite the acquisition

M Group Services has boosted its mobile offering with the acquisition of Waldon Telecom.

Hertfordshire-based M Group specialises in providing services to essential infrastructure markets in the UK and Ireland, with this acquisition being the 13th since December 2016.

Its acquisition of Waldon Telecom will enable the firm to boost its telecoms standing, as Waldon has established long-term relationships with Three, MBNL and CTIL.

As well as this, Waldon works across the wider mobile telecom market and provides acquisition, design and construction services (ADC). The firm has offices in Surrey and Derbyshire.

Standalone brand

Despite the acquisition Waldon Telecom will continue to operate as a standalone brand, while being led by MD and founder Phil James.

The acquisition will also see M Group Services’ operating business Magdalene mobile combined with Waldon Telecom’s ADC capabilities.

M Group Services chief executive Jim Arnold said: “We are delighted to expand our Telecom Division with the acquisition of Waldon Telecom, a business with considerable growth potential and a strong reputation.

“Our strategy is to combine Waldon Telecoms ADC skills with Magdalene’s mobile technology services and provide mobile clients with end-to-end solutions.”

Waldon Telecom MD James dded: “With Waldon’s existing telecom acquisition, design and construction capability, becoming part of M Group Services’ Telecom Division will allow us to leverage wider services that can be offered by the Group across multiple sectors.

“This will support our growth aspirations and allow Waldon Telecom to become a large scale, turnkey partner of choice within the mobile telecom market.”
