Ingram Micro has signed an exclusive contract with Global Mobile Communications (GMC) to distribute the new DEWALT MD501 smartphone to the UK market.

It weighs 245g and is powered by a 1.3GHz processor, running the Android 5.1 OS. It has 13MP rear and five megapixel front cameras, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded by 64GB with a microSD card and a 3,020mAh battery that provides up to eight hours of talk time.
Other features of note include dual SIM card slots, GPS, an amplified loudspeaker and Qi standard wireless charging.

Ingram Micro UK and Ireland vice president and country chief executive Brent McCarty said: “The newly acquired GMC contract further demonstrates Ingram’s status as a genuine lifetime partner for devices.
“This union offers an exciting opportunity for Ingram to validate their recent acquirements and expansion of competencies. It also stands as a brilliant testament to the work and growth of our Mobile team under new leadership from Matt Bramwell.”
