Deutsche Telekom veteran also becomes VP of Honor Global and will establish the brand in the European market while building and expanding its marketing and sales
Huawei has appointed Eva Wimmers as the new president of Honor in Europe and vice president of its global operations.
She is charged with establishing the Honor brand in the European market and building and expanding its marketing and sales in the region.
Wimmers (pictured), who has 20 years of industry experience, joins from Deutsche Telekom, where she was senior vice president of group procurement for nearly five years.
Prior to that. she spent 13 years at T-Mobile, first as vice president of common vendor management and rollout for seven years and then senior vice president of international terminal procurement for six years.
Honor president George Zhao said: “With Eva’s experience onboard, we will take the Honor brand and products to the next level in the European market.
“Wimmers has a proven track record of driving effective change within large and small international businesses and is an expert in building European and global trends, brands and partnerships.”
