HMD Global has today launched two £65 Nokia-branded 2660 Flip ‘dumb’ phones available in pink and green available direct.

The manufacturer says its share of the flip feature phone market doubled last year over 2021 and expects further growth in 2023. HMD expects the feature phone market to grow by five per cent in North America alone in the next five years.

There’s been a surge of interest in flip phones, and we believe that the interest is coming from a need to take a break from the constant flow of incoming digital notifications, social media posts and more”, said HMD Global; chief marketing officer Lars Silberbauerthe.

The original Nokia 2660 Flip was launched in 2007, and the first Nokia flip phone launched in 1998.

The £25 Nokia 105 was the most sold feature phone globally in 2022 according to IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker.
