HMD Global has announced the appointment of former OnePlus man Adam Ferguson as its new head of product marketing.
Ferguson joins from the Chinese vendor, where he spent just under two years.
In his new role at HMD Global, Ferguson is tasked with overseeing the product marketing strategy across the entire range of Nokia smartphone and feature phones.
His appointment follows that of Stephen Taylor’s recent arrival as chief marketing officer.
Ferguson has also held senior marketing positions at EE, Nestle and Unilever. He spent three years during his time with EE.
On his appointment Ferguson said: “There aren’t many devices that captivate audiences and evoke such loyalty as Nokia phones do.
“I look forward to doing this legacy justice and helping bring fans of the brand what they’ve come to expect.”
HMD Global recently launched its first 5G smartphone, the Nokia 8.3 5G.
