Google’s first mid-ranger launched in May last year

Google has confirmed the discontinuation of its Pixel 3a device range.

In a statement to Android Policea Google spokesperson said: “Google Store has sold through its inventory and completed sales of Pixel 3a. For people who are still interested in buying Pixel 3a, the product is available from some partners while supplies last.”

A UK spokesperson for Google corroborated this statement to Mobile News.

Google launched the phones in May last year. They were critically praised for their strong cameras and mid-range pricing.

The Pixel 3a and 3a XL are both still available to buy from Google’s online UK store, with only the Purple-ish colour 3a out of stock.

EE still offers both the 3a and 3a XL, while Vodafone still offers the 3a. It is also available on O2 through Mobile Phones Direct, at Argos, Currys PC world, Carphone Warehouse, and through third-party resellers on Amazon.

The devices will still receive security and Android OS updates for another two years.

Mobile News has reached out to Google distribution partner Data Select for comment.

There have been rumours about a successor to the 3a, the Pixel 4a, but no official announcement from Google.
