Smethurst takes on the newly created role after 17 years at Gamma
Gamma has appointed company-veteran Andy Smethurst as its channel sales director.
The position is a newly created role within the channel team and tasks Smethurst with bringing new products to market for the channel.
Smethurst joined UC specialists Gamma in 2004, holding a number of roles during his tenure.
Most recently he has worked as channel director. Other roles include head of channel, account director and business development manager.
Commenting on his new role Smethurst said: “Having been with Gamma for over 17 years, I am immensely proud to be given the opportunity to lead Gamma’s geographic sales team.
“The relationship Gamma has with its channel community is paramount to what we do and indeed are all about: we are dedicated to nurturing and growing on shared successes, and we are all extremely excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for the industry.”
Gamma channel managing director Daryl Pile added: “During his time at Gamma, Andy has built a successful track record of leading and nurturing teams, and building strong relationships with our partners.
