Taylor joins the company from Ensono
Focus Group has announced the appointment of Barney Taylor as its new chief executive officer.
Taylor joins the business solutions provider from managed services provider Ensono, where he was SVP and managing director for Europe.
He brings extensive experience in enterprise IT, with over 20 years’ experience across sales, operations and finance roles.
Prior to his three-years at Ensono, Taylor has also worked for Dimension Data, Teliris, Sopra Steria and Anite.
Taylor will lead day-to-day operation at Focus Group, while building on the company’s end-to-end strategy to drive organic growth and is responsible for the firm’s expansion through M&A activity.
Focus Group MD Chris Goodman has welcomed the appointment.
“We did an extensive search for an outstanding leader and Barney’s track record of success, customer-centric approach and operational expertise were obvious strengths.”
On his appointment, Taylor added: “Focus Group has an outstanding track record of success and has outperformed the market for many years.
“It has a product portfolio that has its foundations in telecommunications but is now capable of delivering wider technology solutions and services across multiple market sectors, that include Cyber Security, Connectivity and Software-Defined Networking.”
Despite Taylor’s appointment, Focus Group co-founders Chris Goodman and Ralph Gilbert remain central figures within the business as founder directors, the company has confirmed.
