The move grows Focus Group’s foothold around the M4 corridor and the Midlands region
Focus Group has announced the acquisition of unified communications firm STL Communications.
The deal will see Focus Group gain a strategic foothold around the Midlands and M4 corridor, with STL based out of Witney, Oxfordshire.
Focus Group serves over 25,000 businesses and provides a range of technology services for its customers including mobile, telecoms, IT and cyber.
STL will continue to operate under its brand name, while its founder Brendon Cross will continue to consult for the business.
“The acquisition of STL is another landmark transaction for Focus; Brendon and the business are really highly regarded in the channel, and we’re delighted to welcome them to the Group,” said Focus Group co-founder and director Ralph Gilbert.
Gilbert added that the acquisition took a few months to conclude, with Focus Group approaching STL.
“We have developed a very considered approach to acquisitions over recent years, and carefully target the right businesses off-market, rather than waiting for sellers to come to us,” added Gilbert.
Cross added: “The acquisition by Focus Group represents a fantastic opportunity for all STL customers and staff as the group looks to build on the excellent reputation forged locally over the past twenty-seven years.”
