Distributor has made four appointments in past week

Exertis has announced the appointment of Caroline Hope as commercial director for consumer products.

Hope has been at the distributor for seven years, having started as general manager for consumer electronics, before becoming general manager for consumer networks and smart tech last year.

Her appointment follows those of Angelo Apa, Zoe Doel and Sarah Potter at Exertis in recent weeks. Hope replaces Liam La Cumbre in the role, who has moved into an international role in the business. She will report to Exertis consumer managing director Mike Buley.

“Caroline has consistently grown her business units at Exertis and has been an instrumental part of the team that has made us an industry leader in the smart tech category,” said Buley. She will undoubtedly bring a positive, collaborative and service orientated approach to this role, as she has demonstrated in the past, by maintaining long-lasting and high value relationships with her vendors, customers and colleagues.”

Commenting on her appointment, Hope said: “It’s a challenging time in retail but we have opportunities to exploit, particularly in helping our customers to take advantage of the connected home and enabling them to use our specialist retail services to enhance their business.”
