The deal will expand Exertis’ presence across The Channel

Exertis has announced the acquisition of French cabling distributor Azenn Holding Development after being granted regulatory approval earlier this month.

The acquisition will enable the distributor to boost its presence in France, with Azenn specialising in providing structured cabling solutions and network devices to the French installation market.

It follows other European takeovers made by Exertis in recent years, including Amacom, Comm-Tec and Keren.

Azenn, which reported turnover of €60m last year, also provides logistics, refurbishment and staging services for network devices to some of the largest French telcos.

Brittany-based Azenn employs around 200 people across five locations in France, which includes a distribution centre in Lyon.

Exertis Connect

The acquisition will enable Exertis to extend its Exertis Connect service offering to existing commercial businesses in France.

Exertis Connect is led by Eric Bousquet, who will oversee the expansion of Azenn’s cabling and network device offerings to new customers.

Exertis International managing director Clive Fitzharris said: “Azenn is a great fit with our existing commercial business in France and will allow us to offer a broader range of network devices and cabling solutions to customers, both inside and outside the building.”

Azenn president Philippe Betherlot will continue leading the business.
