He replaces Steve Townsley, who left the business in May after nearly six years
Exertis has appointed Richard Hines as Group finance director for the UK and Ireland.
Hines (pictured) has taken overall control and responsibility of the company’s accounting function, help develop its annual operating budgets and led financial teams in the group. He will join the Exertis board, reporting to UK and Ire;and managing director Gerry O’Keeffe.
Hines replaces Steve Townsley, who left the business in May after nearly six years.
Prior to joining Exertis, he was finance director at Flogas, an LPG sales and distribution company that is part of the DCC group, for three years. Before that, he worked at Speedy Hire in a variety of senior finance and operational roles.
O’Keeffe said: “Richard joins Exertis at an exciting period for the company as we embark on implementing our growth strategy for 2016 and beyond.
“His knowledge of our business ethos, having come from within the DCC group, will be invaluable and his considerable experience and ability will help us drive the financial performance.”
